Our Doctors

Dr. Nicole Sangani (Cumella)

Dr. Nicole Sangani (Cumella) received her doctorate degree from SUNY College of Optometry where she was awarded the Frederick W. Brock Memorial Award for outstanding clinical performance in vision therapy. She then continued her education by completing the Irwin B Suchoff residency in vision rehabilitation where she obtained advanced clinical training in vision therapy, pediatrics, and eye exams for children with special needs.

Dr. Sangani believes that both clear vision and efficient visual skills and processing are essential for reaching your full potential in school, work and overall well being. Her comprehensive approach to vision evaluates all aspects of the visual system, including how the eyes work together, focus, and track as well as how they integrate with the body and brain. She has effectively treated all types of binocular and eye movement disorders including, but not limited to, strabismus, amblyopia, eye coordination problems, learning-related vision problems, and visual processing deficits secondary to acquired brain injury. Dr. Sangani is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and an active member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Our daughter is a very good student who used to breeze through all her assignments except those requiring extensive reading. Long history or science assignments caused her great anxiety and took a long, long time to accomplish. Since she had Vision Therapy, she has been handling her reading packets easily and best of all happily. She has easily reduced her homework time to an hour! Similarly, she is a good athlete a gymnast and a swimmer who could never make any team sport requiring hand-eye coordination. She now feels comfortable pitching, and catching, and making baskets. Finally, she no longer gets car sick. Vision Therapy is the greatest." (read more...)
